Nature of this site
This site describes a private commons and its programmes. Nothing on it is an offer, a solicitation, or financial, legal, or tax advice, and nothing on it forms a client relationship. Admission is by reading only, at the school’s discretion.
Enquiries
Notes sent through Knock on the Door, and addresses given to Receive the Letters, are read personally by the steward and used only to answer you or to send you what you asked for. They are delivered to us by Formspree, a form service in the United States, and are passed to it for that purpose only. They are never sold and never used for advertising. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
What this site measures
We keep our own record of how this site is used, on our own server, using Umami — an analytics tool chosen because it sets no cookies and collects no personal data. Nothing here is shared with an advertising network, and nothing is used to build a profile of you.
What is recorded, for each visit: the pages opened and their order, the approximate country (derived from your network address, which is not stored), the browser, operating system, device type and screen size, the site or search engine you arrived from, and a small set of actions — opening the menu, downloading a document, following a link away from the site, submitting one of the two forms. It is aggregate and it is ours; we cannot identify you from it, and we do not try to.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies, and there is nothing here to consent to. Two small preferences are remembered in your own browser's storage so the site behaves the way you left it: which of the two themes you chose, and whether you have already seen the opening sequence. Both stay on your device, are readable only by this site, and are cleared whenever you clear your browsing data.
Others who see your visit
Two things on this site are loaded from other companies when a page opens, which means those companies receive your network address in order to send them to you. Neither is advertising and neither is ours:
Typefaces are served by Google Fonts on every page. One video, on Steward Formation, is embedded from YouTube — we use its no-cookie address, so YouTube sets nothing on your device unless you press play. Both are operated by Google, which may place them outside Switzerland and the EU.
Your rights
Where the GDPR or the Swiss FADP applies to you, you may ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, or object to our use of it. In practice the only personal data we hold is what you typed into one of the forms yourself. Write to welcome@thewealthschool.ch and we will answer. Enquiries and subscriptions are kept only as long as the conversation they belong to is live.
The controller of this data is The Wealth School, Montreux, at the address above. Our analytics are kept on a server we control, in Europe. Formspree, in the United States, processes enquiries on our behalf; the site itself is served from our own infrastructure. Some pages link out — to The Life Read, to LinkedIn, to documents — and once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, under their terms, not ours.
