One discipline. Different ways in.

A life is lived whole, so the School studies its wealth whole: across the 9 Life Capitals, within one life, between people and in the wider world. Our education combines inquiry, understanding and practice to develop the judgment needed to hold wealth well.

Begin wherever you are: with a question, a course, or a responsibility that matters to you.

Learn something fundamental

Foundational Courses · January 2027

First intake January 2027 · 9 teaching weeks · Online blended learning · Age 18+ · Each course complete in itself

Johannes Vermeer, Woman Holding a Balance: a woman stands at a table by a window, holding an empty balance.

Course 01

Financial Intelligence

How Money Really Works

Financial literacy is useful. Financial intelligence asks a further question: how does the system actually work? Learn to make sense of money, institutions, markets, incentives and risk, and to think more independently about financial choices.

Edvard Munch, The Dance of Life: couples dance on a shore under the moon, a woman in white on one side and a woman in black on the other.

Course 02

The Wealth of One Life

Understanding Your 9 Life Capitals

What if financial wealth is only one part of the picture? Explore the 9 Life Capitals, how they depend on one another, and how the way we use our time, energy and resources shapes the wealth of a finite life.

Frédéric Bazille, Family Reunion: a family gathered on a shaded terrace, several generations looking towards the viewer.

Course 03

How to Talk About Wealth Inside Families

Money, Relationships & Responsibility

Money conversations are rarely only about money. Learn why they can become difficult, what families communicate without saying, and how to approach fairness, expectations, freedom and responsibility across generations.

Where the Work Meets You

Some questions begin with your own life. Others arise between people, or concern the world we share. You can see a question differently, go further into it, or bring a real question into practice.

Me · See differently

What counts as wealth in my life?

Look at your own life across the 9 Life Capitals. Notice forms of wealth a financial statement cannot describe, with nothing turned into a score.

Me · Go deeper

What is my life currently organised around?

Explore where time, attention and resources go, what has shaped those allocations, and what they make possible or difficult.

Me · Work through it

What is mine to hold, change or let go?

Bring one consequential choice into view: the alternatives, what each asks of you, and what a decision might cost elsewhere in your life.

Us · See differently

What else is being exchanged when we talk about wealth?

Look beyond money to the recognition, expectations, care, power and responsibility passing between people.

Us · Go deeper

Where do our expectations meet?

Explore the meanings and assumptions different people bring to the same wealth, role or decision, including what may never have been said aloud.

Us · Work through it

What is ours to decide, and what is each person's?

Work through a shared situation, such as a handover of ownership, authority or role, while each person keeps their own judgment.

World · See differently

What do we call progress, and what does that leave out?

Question the measures and stories through which institutions and societies define success, value and wealth.

World · Go deeper

Who benefits, who bears the cost, and who gets to decide?

Trace the consequences of collective choices across people, organisations, generations and the living systems we depend on.

World · Work through it

What responsibilities can we act on?

Bring a shared question into deliberate inquiry, with room for different roles and responsibilities.

This question is part of the School's field of inquiry. There is no set programme here yet; you can explore it with us by commission.

Still unsure where to begin?

Come with the question that brought you here.
